Played a bit of that game at work the other day, I like the way it feels and seamlessly goes from game play to story and back, but the art direction (or lack there of) spoils anything positive I have to say, and the lack of diversity in the environments is a shame. Would have been better if they got a decent artist on board.
Had I known of the game's development early on, I actually would've offered to re-do the artwork myself. Even so, the fact that this guy practically single-handedly made a 2D platforming game on his own is a real testament to his ability. I personally don't hold it against him that his ability to draw isn't up to snuff, the game's just damn fun regardless.
i like metroid. but i wouldn't if it looked or sounded like that.
I played the first stage and its cool since I like both Contra and Metroid. (who hasn't?)
not to sound like a noob or a troll OR a bitch, will there be another brawl taunts?
Nope.
if I had an unoriginal idea that was popular, I'd milk it for all its worth

whats your next project? Are you going to do a series like your early work?
It was a shame that you were only in the game for one stage. But, hell, I know you'll do more projects in the future ;) You did a good job doing the final boss. He was pretty hard too.
