Nope.
Here's your problem, and it is starting to become more blatantly obvious in each of your posts: You have a huge problem with what other people think of you. There, that's your problem. You need to stop trying to impress people by being someone your not, because frankly, most of these posts you make are just patronizing bullshit. I just find it funny that you would say something like how you say you don't enjoy making parody movies anymore, when clearly, you used to love it. For example, if you don't like making the Go Go Parody Rangers movie anymore, then don't work on it anymore, beause it leads people who are looking forward to seeing it to think that there wasn't a lot of effort put in, or that the author just didn't care about the movie, and that is a bit of a downer for people watching the movie. It's like a fad for people to criticize something that is good, and pretend they don't like it even though in reality, then know it's good. For example, GTA4, a lot of people don't like it just because "it's the cool thing to do", yet, a greater majority do like it. I guess this ties in to you because you've been listening to that group of people who think parody movies are outdated and stupid, when you really should be listening to your fans, and the majority of people who do rate your movies high because they truly like them. So, stop trying to impress the small group of people on NG that don't like parodies, and just work on your own stuff and make movies for yourself. Hell, you should be making a movie because you think its funny, not to appeal to a specif group. Perfect example, TTA, you said in this blog that you watched them again for old times sake because you enjoyed them, so why don't you enjoy them now? It's probably because a few people said they were stupid, so now you don't want to be associated with the cartoon.
So, in the end, you need to grow up, grow a tougher skin, stop patronizing, and stop being someone you aren't, because there will be people who don't like your stuff, but that's just life. I tried to keep this as intelligent as possible, without any random swears, so that I could hear what you have to say in return. (an intelligent conversation)

Actually I stopped doing TTA because I just felt it wasn't getting anywhere despite the niche audience that it had. Parody Rangers 1 did really well compared to it and I enjoyed working on it THAT much more, with ideas for at least the 2nd and 3rd to follow if it happened to work out, so I simply stopped one project to focus on another, which I think should be fair enough. It wasn't fun anymore, so I stopped doing it. In that respect, I think I followed exactly what you're getting at.
As for the Rangers Movie on its own, part of it is because I'm bound to finishing it, plus I WANT to finish it. Even if my feelings on the project have changed, I'm essentially going to have as much as I can get out of it and simply gain more animation experience. Once it's done, I can I move on to exactly what I want to do. So more specifically, it's simply a rut that I can eventually work my way out of.

How much exactly are you charging for commishes? (pardon me for using the comment box to ask this) Also, do you do comissions of my characters. For example, if sent you a pic of one my characters, could you draw that character with Alpha or another one of your well known characters? Thanks.

I hate to comment twice on one post (makes me feel redundant) but I have to agree with everything Ramrod said excpet listening to people and having them direct you. If this were a animation studio where your bosses were telling you that you had to make your animation like they told you, than maybe it would matter what people thought. This, on the other hand, is Newgrounds, "Everything by Everyone" so obviously everyone has a diffrent opinion. Go on a forum or a youtube video and see the comments people leave. You'll see there's love and hate for everything. Letting that sap the fun out of flashes that you're getting sponsered to do is not only ruining for yourself, but for your career, your fans and everyone involved.
And jack92790 , he's lying, just in case your listening. There is no season 4. IT's over, get over it people.
While I must admit you do enjoy righting really long blogs. I actually do enjoy reading them they make me think about things as well. Though on the subject at hand I never really thought it mattered what the looks or graphics of a show were, just as long as it has a good story and I get a few kicks out of it which is the whole point. To entertain those who wish to be entertained. I mean I will watch stick movies just cause I get a kick out of them and when someone tries to go stick movies suck or something. I go ok thats nice you think that but have you seen the ones I watch and thats when I get the usual response "no" they are gay but when I get them to watch them they think its good. Now i not saying this always works but if something entertains you then don't worry about what others think I mean I go to film school and me and my friends each have a difference sense of humor my best friend prefers dark humor while me I will just laugh at anything no matter how stupid it is. But we still watch others movies just because we like to be entertained. Anyway srry for writing such a long response but this topic just sorta caught my attention from one artist to another. Though keep up the good work.

You know, a lot of these blog posts leave me with these really odd unanswered question bouncing around in my head. I'm not the kind of person to usually think about some of the stuff that you talk about but it livens up my life a little to try to figure out the answers.
That said, TTA was a pretty good series and I was never really satisfied with the ending you stopped working on it and frankly, your new stuff is just as good as it was.
I think if people wanna watch something like what you said they can it's not like there going to be judged for anything else. Like you said if they watched something like Avatar and one man watches Naruto and one liked it and another didn't then thats there opinion. I think for instance i watch a lot of T.V. and I'm the computer a lot they can think I'm dumb but I am a very smart man having high grades and people think I cheat but I do not.
For instance TTA I personally liked the series now my brother did not like the series but that doesn't mean me and him are very different me and my brother are very similar a year apart in fact. now movies I think Cambo was dead on what he said. Now I love comedy but i also like action and other genres now I my develop different if I watched other things but still Kirb please leave a comment to me for a conversation of your topic.
I like to think of this as people need to just respect other's ideals. We live in a society today were there needs to be a line between what's right and what's wrong.
Personally, if I watched Avatar and knew the creators watched Naruto, I'd still watch Avatar. When it gets right down to it people are going to do what it is they like to do. We have the internet to thank to that to.
PS I forget who but someone from the Avatar crew does watch Naruto.

I totally agree with you on this. Just because you enjoy things that are considered, and quiet possibly are, stupid doesn't mean that you, yourself are necessarily stupid. I remember when Pokemon first came out. Almost everybody at my school was into it, the cards, the show, the games (ironically that came last in popularity), the whole nine yards. Now adays it is considered retarded to even know any of their names past Mewtwo. My point being that whether something is considered stupid by the majority of people changes constantly. Thats not to say that it was ever in anyway "quality entertainment" (The show and cards, at least :) ), but just because people think less of you for enjoying it doesn't mean you're an idiot (which you could be anyway), or that they're any better. Of all the people that I know who like things like(d) DBZ, or Naruto, or reality tv and are very intelligent people. By that same token, I also know plenty of people who like those things who don't seem to have a brain, but still that's bound to happen anyway. Hell, I've even met a few (like one or two) complete morons who appreciate the fine art and the like, things that a regular person would expect from the sophisticated type.
Oh and one more thing... why are some of you guys patronizing Kirb for writing a lot, it's a good topic that I think is worth discussing. Wait, I wrote quiet a bit myself, not like that has to do with anything >.>
I believe that any kind of movie that someone makes is supposed to be a movie about something that they are interested in. if they are not interested in it then there is no real reason to do it. if you do not enjoy animating then why do it at all. if you enjoy showing other people a view of what you believe than they are free to comment on it, it does not matter what the comment is.
If you make an animation than you should actually like what it is about or else it wont be a good animation. good animations are only ones where the author likes the subject that he is talking about.
You do great at what you do man, all things come to an end and the "rut" you speak of seems to be self afflicted. people love your work, as do I just be cooooool.

uh i know im way too late too leave a comment in this uuhhh entry, but what i'm saying is don't give up on something that you want because others have other opinions. heck, even i have other likings and my friends all listen to the same music like hip hop and rap. all im saying is just because someone doesn't like this doesn't mean it's horrible. another thing is i like TTA so much that i think is the bestest sprite animation in NG or any other websites. ^=^

oh another thing i forgot to say, uh i just realize TTA stop at 73 and i still want to see the end because my head hurts everytime when i keep thinking about what will happen to the end. even other hundreds or thousands of viewers (im just guessing) want to know what will happen in the end of this series. hehehe *-*
